D'arcy Short - 8/10 - Batting through the innings to see Australia home, Short batted carefully compared to his partners, finishing with 36 from 33 balls.

AUSTRALIA cruised to yet another simple win over England with Glenn Maxwell providing the fireworks for the hosts, once more. Their batsmen completely struggled to come to the terms with the slow MCG pitch and somehow crawled to 137 runs for the loss of 7 wickets n their 20 overs. Pacer Kane Richardson (3/33) was the standout among the Australian bowlers.

Dawid Malan was unable to replicate his heroics of the last game as he fell for ten, before James Vince and Buttler aimed to rebuild. His stay was eventful but brief, ending with a top edge from the bowling of Chris Jordan that settled comfortably into the gloves of Buttler.

Meanwhile, Jos Buttler, deputising as captain due to a groin injury sustained by Eoin Morgan, was left to rue another below-par display from England.

Glenn Maxwell - 8/10 - Maxwell top scored for Australia with 39 from 26 balls.

Preview: Australia will look to maintain their winning momentum when they meet England in the Twenty20 tri-series clash at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Saturday. We didn't manage to soak up that early pressure.

That is despite Australia fielding a side shorn, Warner aside, of all its Test stars ahead of the forthcoming series in South Africa.

The unbeaten Australians are all but assured of a spot in the February 21 final in Auckland after downing England by five wickets in Hobart and beating New Zealand in the series opener ahead of Saturday's match. Australia's T20 fortunes have taken a decided turn for the better; Warner and company will hope they stay that way after the flight to New Zealand.

Buttler was involved in another crucial partnership, this time with Sam Billings as the duo added 43 runs between them in 41 deliveries. They lost seven wickets in 20 overs and presented 137 runs milestone in front of Australia. Willey scored 10 runs for the team England.
