The sheriff's office in Lee County, Florida said a Minnesota fugitive wanted for the murder of her husband is also responsible for a murder on Fort Myers Beach this week.

After killing her, Riess stole Hutchinson's cash, credit cards, ID, and her auto.

Lee County Undersheriff says while Riess "may look like anyone's mother or grandmother, she's an absolute cold-blooded murderer". Authorities say Riess transferred close to $10,000 from a bank account for her husband's business to another of his personal accounts before forging his signature on other checks.

Anyone who has had any recent contact with Lois Riess or who has any information on her whereabouts is urged to contact the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension Tip-line at 1-877-996-6222.

But on the very last day of her trip, she met Riess and wrote on Facebook, "I'm staying another night".

Riess is believed to have befriended Hutchinson in Fort Myers, Fla., before killing her and stealing her identity. Police say the same gun was used in both slayings.

NBC News reported Riess had a gambling addiction.

Authorities also have said they suspect that after David Riess was killed, his wife transferred almost $10,000 from his business account into his personal account and then forged his signature on three checks to herself for $11,000.

Marceno said Hutchinson's white 2005 Acura TL had been spotted in Louisiana and around Corpus Christi in the days after Hutchinson's body was found. "That's really the only thing that could resonate with my system.it's just evil that flowed through".

On the "Today" broadcast, Marceno said that Riess will run out of money and could possibly kill again.
