Kevin Spacey and Steven Seagal won't face criminal charges following allegations from the 1990s because the alleged incidents are beyond the statute of limitations, and prosecutors rejected filing a charge against Black-ish actor Anthony Anderson, citing insufficient evidence. The District Attorney's Office confirmed last month it was reviewing another case presented by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department and the actor is also under investigation in London.

The LA County DA's office, which announced a new sexual assault task force in 2017, reportedly has "one more case to review involving Seagal" as well as another involving Spacey.

"The reporting party has declined to be interviewed by the investigating officer".

Spacey, 59, is being investigated in the United Kingdom for six sexual assault claims over 22 years.

The case remains under review.

Seagal is still under scrutiny for another alleged sexual assault, although the details of the accusation are unclear.

The Old Vic theatre said it has received 20 allegations of inappropriate behaviour against Spacey.

In the case of Seagal, the allegation of assault is from 1993, when the victim was 18 years old.

Spacey's publicist in November said the two-time Oscar victor, who has been accused of sexual misconduct by more than a dozen men and boys, was "taking the time necessary to seek evaluation and treatment".

Mr Spacey claimed to have no memory of the events but publicly apologised.

The action star was accused earlier this year by two women of sexual assault and rape.

United Kingdom police are also looking into several accusations against the actor.

He was also sacked from Netflix's House Of Cards and edited out of Sir Ridley Scott's All The Money In The World.
