Air blitz on Idlib raises fears of fears of imminent assault

US President Donald Trump warned last week against an offensive by the Syrian regime and its Russian and Iranian allies.

"I can say we've been in consultation with the British and the French, who joined us in the second strike, and they also agree that another use of chemical weapons will result in a much stronger response", Mr Bolton said.

Recep Tayyip Erdoğan evaluated the latest developments in northwestern Idlib province and Turkey's position on the matter in an article he wrote for the US daily The Wall Street Journal on September 10.

In the meantime, the Syrian Army dispatched more troops and equipment to the contact lines with Tahrir al-Sham Hay'at (the Levant Liberation Board or the Al-Nusra Front) in a large region from Jam'iyat al-Zahra and al-Lairamoun industrial zone up to the small town of Kafr Hamra in Northwestern Aleppo and from al-Malah farms to the small towns of Haraytan, Hayan, Anadan and Bayanoun in Northern Aleppo.

Can the USA change the trajectory of a potential humanitarian catastrophe in Idlib?

For many days there has been a build-up of Syrian armour in southern Idlib.

He recalled the regime's criminal acts -arbitrary arrests, systematic torture, summary executions, barrel bombs, chemical and conventional weapons - which targeted the Syrian people for seven years.

A man in Syria's embattled city of Idlib has created a makeshift gas mask from party cups, cotton and charcoal, among other easy-to-find items.

There are fears that as Russian-backed Syria launches an offensive in Idlib, it may use chemical weapons in a bid to retake the province.

The conspiracy theory Black touted on Arab television has been assiduously pushed by the Russian government in the runup to a massive military operation against rebel-held areas of the Idlib province.

For his part, Black said he is "deeply concerned about achieving peace and stopping the slaughter in the Middle East" and anxious about America being drawn more deeply into the Syrian civil war.

That happened to be an Obama Administration official expressing support for the jihadists, and when he was asked by his interviewer "Did the world fail Syria?" he answered "Sure".

"The new policy is we're no longer pulling out by the end of the year", Jeffrey said, according to the Washington Post. It's a magazine that's handed out free to school students in the U.S.to teach them the "history" behind these current events, though it conflicts with the actual history behind them: but, of course, those children won't know that history, because it's not being taught to them. Turkey already hosts millions of refugees from Syria's civil war. Hundreds of thousands of people could be killed.

She called specifically on Moscow to stop Assad's assault on Idlib, which she called "a reckless escalation even if chemical weapons were not used". "Don't let that happen!" Consequently, unlike the Turks and the Americans, who are invaders of Syria, Russia is instead a defender of Syria, and is committed to doing there only what the Syrian Government authorizes it to do and what Russia is willing to do there.
