Jorginho and Hazard will have Liverpool in their sights again on Saturday, with the two sides set to be reunited in Premier League competition just three days after the Blues stunned Anfield with a 2-1 win in the Carabao Cup third round.

"I think [Manchester] City and Liverpool are a step ahead of us".

Maurizio Sarri praised Chelsea for their performance against Liverpool and insisted they are not overly reliant on Eden Hazard's goals.

Daniel Sturridge scored a stunning equaliser for Liverpool at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, with the former Chelsea striker's goal earning a point for the visitors.

Liverpool sits atop the table with a flawless 6-0-0 record and a plus-12 goal differential, while Chelsea also is unbeaten at 5-1-0 with a plus-10 differential. Having impressed for a number of seasons, the Belgian worldwide has raised his game even further this season and now looks set to take his place among those considered to be in the latter bracket.

"I think they had more intensity than we did", Young said of the Derby defeat. "It was so deserved for Daniel, a really nice moment and I'm so happy for him". The boys were all happy for him. Both teams deserve a point, we only had more chances, like we did on Wednesday.

"It's always tactical", Klopp said of his decision to remove the player.

Klopp noted after the match: "What a spectacular football game", he said.

"We gave them one proper chance, they used it and we didn't use ours".

"In a game like this constantly in situations he comes in, that makes you a world class player". You fail, you miss, whatever, that happens.

"It's like riding a bike. It's not like you wake up in the morning and you can not finish any more or can not ride a bike any more". This run of fixtures has been horrendous, but a draw or a win against City will lay down a real marker and boost the confidence levels of the squad no end.

- This was the 38th home Premier League game that Hazard has scored in - he has never ended on the losing side in any of those games (W34 D4 L0).
