China and Russian Federation are reportedly eavesdropping on Trump's phone calls

US President Donald Trump talks on the phone aboard Air Force One during a flight to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to address a joint gathering of House and Senate Republicans on January 26, 2017. "Just more made up Fake News!"

Trump pushed back against the idea that he uses insecure cellphones, tweeting Thursday that he only uses government phones "and have only one seldom used government cell phone".

The White House did not immediately respond to our request for comment.

"One of the biggest stories of our time is the Mueller investigation", it tweeted. The president apparently likes to keep his personal iPhone around reportedly because "he can store his contacts in it".

The report in the New York Times said that China, and Russian Federation, were intercepting calls made on Mr Trump's personal iPhone to try to gain an insight into his thinking.

But using any cell phone poses some risk.

Mr. Trump is supposed to swap out his two official phones every 30 days for new ones but rarely does, bristling at the inconvenience. Both Politico and now the Times reported that Trump has refused to do the same, calling the practice too "inconvenient".

President Donald Trump flatly denied on Thursday that he talks with old friends on unsecure personal cell phones that are vulnerable to foreign spies. "Foreign adversaries seeking intelligence about the USA are relentless in their pursuit of vulnerabilities in our government's communications networks, and there is no more sought-after intelligence target than the president of the United States", said Nate Jones, who served as a counterterrorism director on the National Security Council under President Obama. Trump has, of course, insisted that the story is false, as have Chinese officials, although they managed to do it with a more insulting tone that would make International-Level Troll Vladimir Putin proud.

They also claimed that there are concerns Russian agencies were also among those listening to Mr Trump's calls.

According to the daily, USA intelligence officials have determined that China is seeking to use what it is learning from the calls - how Trump thinks, what arguments tend to sway him and to whom he is inclined to listen - to keep a trade war with the United States from escalating further.

Wynn's ties to China include a property he once owned in Macau. It would have the advance that it can tell the time.
