His departure comes after Saudi King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman met Mr Salah and Khashoggi's brother Sahel at the royal palace in Riyadh on Tuesday to offer their condolences.

The Tadawul All-Shares Index (TASI) rose 4.3 percent to close trading on the last day of the week on 7,835.54 points.

Saudi Arabia's public prosecutor has been quoted as saying the death was "premeditated" and Turkey believe this was meticulously planned.

TASI, the largest Arab bourse, is 8.4 percent higher on the year.

It was not immediately clear how Thursday's announcement from Riyadh would affect Washington's thinking amid bipartisan demands from Congress for severe punishment of Saudi Arabia - the nation at the center of Trump's Middle East policy.

The crown prince on Wednesday called the killing "repulsive".

"The Company is continuing to monitor ongoing developments in the region, and there can be no assurances in this regard", WWE said.

CIA Director Gina Haspel has briefed US President Donald Trump after reportedly listening to "compelling" audio recording which captured the killing of Saudi dissident journalist Jamal Khashoggi. It's the latest change in the narrative over Khashoggi's death-reversing an earlier Saudi statement that Khashoggi died after a "fistfight" inside the consulate.

As the diplomatic backlash continues, members of the European Parliament voted overwhelmingly Thursday to adopt a resolution that urges EU countries to impose an EU-wide arms embargo on Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Arabia's pro-government Okaz newspaper said Salah - a dual US-Saudi citizen - departed the kingdom on Wednesday, without offering any details.

Separately, Saudi Crown Prince Mohamad bin Salman on Thursday chaired a meeting of a newly created committee tasked with restructuring the Saudi intelligence apparatus, according to the official Saudi Press Agency.

Turkish authorities, including the president, said this week that Saudi agents had scouted Istanbul's Belgrad Forest before Khashoggi's death inside Saudi Arabia's Istanbul consulate on October 2.

"Ankara is taking all necessary steps to clear up the case of slain Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi", he added.

King Salman, who has delegated the day-to-day running of Saudi Arabia to his son MbS, on Saturday ordered a restructuring of the general intelligence agency. Turkey is conducting a separate investigation into the journalist's death.

Saudi Arabia has sought to draw a line under the crisis over Khashoggi's murder, but has come under mounting pressure from sceptical world powers demanding answers and the whereabouts of his body.

According to Saudi Energy Minister Khalid Al-Falih "There were more than 25 deals signed worth $56 billion", adding that US companies accounted for most of those contracts.
