Jimmy Kimmel's Halloween candy prank returns with hilarious results

"We know where they are, we know that people that come to this thing are going to give out good stuff", Deitrich Bostelman, a father at the event, said.

In addition to the candy collected, Kool smiles is donating 200 dental kits for deployed US troops, as well as the funds to cover the assembly and shipment of 200 Operation Gratitude care packages.

In partnership with Operation Gratitude, candy collected at the dentists' office will be packaged up and sent to USA military troops serving overseas.

If by chance there's still Halloween candy in your house, there are some options that can prevent you from hoovering it up yourself.

Taking candy from children is usually frowned upon, but teaching them the value of giving back by donating their excess Halloween candy is a win-win for kids, parents, and dentists. In 2017, more than 400,000 pounds of candy was donated to Operation Gratitude and distributed to America's Heroes through its care package programs. "This is a way to show our troops that we do care and we haven't forgotten about them", she says.

Kool Smiles will be collecting candy until Friday, November 2.
