Alec Baldwin arrested for punching man over parking spot in Greenwich Village

Alec Baldwin has been arrested in NY after he allegedly punched a man in the face over a parking spot disagreement. Police from the 6th Precinct responded to the 911 call a little before 2PM.

A police spokesperson told Gothamist that the incident happened around 1:30 p.m.at 28 East 10th Street, near Baldwin's residence. The charges are still pending.

The 49-year-old alleged victim was treated for an injury to his left jaw and taken to a nearby hospital.

NYPD told Fox News at the time that Baldwin, who had no ID, "refused to [identify] himself, became belligerent, cursing and yelling". He is expected to be charged with assault in the third degree, a misdemeanor crime carrying a maximum punishment of one year in jail. Representatives of Alec Baldwin has given no comment at this time. The man supposedly pulled in to a parking spot Baldwin had been waiting for, according to a local NBC affiliate.

Baldwin went on a Twitter rant after his arrest, posting the arresting officer's name and badge number. Baldwin lives in the area.

Baldwin and Thomas married in 2012 and have four children. When Trump was asked by reporters Friday afternoon about the arrest of his nemesis, the president said, "I wish him luck".
