Two Texas newlyweds were tragically killed when their helicopter crashed after leaving their wedding.

The Federal Aviation Administration said the Bell 206B went down about 15 miles northwest of Uvalde, about 100 miles west of San Antonio.

HuffPost has contacted the National Transport Safety Board for comment.

The Uvalde County Sheriff's Office posted on its Facebook page that the office received a call around midnight about the crash.

The newlyweds were students at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas.

The couple's wedding website confirmed they were married on Saturday at the Byler family ranch.

"It is with deepest sadness that we announce the tragic passing of two Bearkats Will Byler (Agriculture Engineering senior) and Bailee Ackerman Byler (Agricultural Communication senior) in a helicopter accident departing their wedding", the post reads.

Wedding guests posted videos online of the doomed helicopter appearing to take off safely from the Byler ranch as friends and family cheered. Their engagement photos show a giddy couple, with Will in a cowboy hat and Bailee showing off her ring.

Will and Bailee Ackerman Byler were killed as they left their wedding in Texas.

The helicopter's pilot was also killed in the crash, according to the television report. "I believe it truly was the best day of their lives".

"I love them both so dearly and they will always be so special to me", she said.
