'Hang tight, we are sending backup forthwith, and these guys came prepared, ' said NYPD News in a tweet, accompanied by a photo of a police helicopter.

A few police officers in Kentucky had a sense of humor after a truck hauling some tasty treats caught fire Monday.

"No words", the tweet reads.

That tweet was posted Monday afternoon.

The University of Kentucky Police Department chimed in with a message of support.

But at least the local police department found some humour in the incident, living up to an age-old stereotype. "We hope you like sprinkles". "We donut know what else to say", the post read. A blue heart appeared next to the text.

The truck happened to be carrying Krispy Kreme donuts. He noticed some smoke in the cab of the truck and pulled off. Another driver told him the truck was on fire, at which point he got out. Though no one was hurt, the truck was expected to be a total loss, according to the station.
